BLOOMING HECK! Surprise was my first reaction after hearing my son utter this phrase, closely followed by amusement, then by curiosity - where the hecky thump did he here that?
He's not said it for 4 or 5 days so hopefully it was just a passing catchphrasse. It's been replaced by "what's all that about?" Again, I don't know where it came from either.

ha! blooming heck. that is hilarious. my son says funny stuff sometimes, too, but that is funnier than mostly what he says. :-)

Later in the day I said something that got his response of "What's all that about?" which I found pretty funny too!
Of course, if you laugh at something he says then he'll say it again to get more laughs and he laughs raucously too, which is pretty infectious!
